#BecomingFilipino - Bamboo Trapping Filipino Scorpion Crabs (Uson)
Filipinos really come up with some clever ideas...
In Pandan Antique the locals have developed a crab trap which they use in the swamps by the Bugang River. Using bamboo and a few lines, the trap is designed to allow a crab to enter the bamboo, trigger a line and then have a little piece of wood trap them inside!
But...
Turns out the locals don't just catch ordinary crabs! They catch "Uson"... or as I like to call them... "Filipino Scorpion Crabs!"
Here is my experience in the swamps of the Bugang River!
One day at a time, One scorpion crab at a time... #BecomingFilipino
