FB#BecomingFilipino - Eating Chicken Head (Rural Foodtrip in Mindanao)
Over the course of my #BecomingFilipino journey I have started to become a fan of going on "Food-Trips". Something I like to do from time to time is just leave the city and venture off into the country side to see what the locals have to eat. In this case I was home in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao and went off on a little rural adventure around Brgy. Mambuaya.
There was definitely a lot of little local treats to try. Bibingka, Banana-Q... Chicken Head... WHAATTTTT!!? Yup here in the Philippines there are definitely a lot of very interesting things you can try to eat. This was the first time I have ever stumbled upon some rural style chicken head!
What I love most about this very raw video is it shows what Filipinos are really like away from the cities when it comes to sharing happiness. Look at the smiles on people's faces, look at the fun people are having interacting with me. I really do love being out in the countryside :)
