Today is our first day in Ajijic, Mexico on the north shore of Lake Chapala. We are staying in a beautiful home for one week. After driving from Guadalajara, we take some time to explore the local restaurants, share our first impressions, and walk around the town.
Since becoming expats as Americans in Mexico, we've visited a ton of cities around the country. Many people have recommended that we visit Ajijic in the state of Jalisco but we wrote it off because we thought it was nothing more than a retirement community.
Over the course of the next week in our travel vlog, we're going to (hopefully) see what all this fuss is about. If you're considering moving to Mexico or spending some time traveling to Mexico, you may have considered Ajijic or the Lake Chapala area.
Come join us as we learn a little bit about life in Ajijic and explore the area. We are so excited to see and do more!
