What an amazing thing to stumble upon in rural Zamboanga Del Sur!! I was hanging out in a place called Tigbao when all of a sudden I noticed a few kids walking around with interesting pieces of bamboo. Turns out they are actually pieces of bamboo that have been manufactured into little toy shooters!
I remember when I was a kid we used sticks and ran around playing "Aliens vs Humans". But this... this is a serious level up!
Using bamboo and another piece of wood as a "pusher"...the kids will wet paper to load up the bamboo stick. After loading up the bamboo, they simply push another carved smaller piece of bamboo/stick through which propels air and shoots a piece of paper at high speed out the end!
AMAZING!
This kid Japat (just 12 years old) even designed his own silencer sniper rifle using metal and bamboo!!
