Today we set out to feed ourselves for just $10 USD or, with the current exchange rate, 185 pesos. Can we do it? Or will we go hungry! We've been successful in every city so far, but with prices (supposedly) going up in Ajijic, Mexico maybe we'll fail for the first time! Find out!

As expats in México, we've done the $10 challenge in quite a few cities but this time we're trying it in Ajijic, Jalisco. If you're wondering how expensive it is in Mexico in 2018, watch this travel vlog to give you a better idea.

If you've been considering traveling to Mexico or a Mexico retirement, videos like this will help you budget for your time here. We're going to show you how you can travel on a budget and live in Mexico cheap - even in the more expensive cities like Ajijic. We're going to be eating cheap all day in this $10 challenge!

In January 2018, we sold everything we owned in the US (except our husky Laska & what fit in our tiny, tangerine Prius C3) to travel the world—starting with Mexico. Since then, we've been making travel videos about our life in Mexico and the new experiences we encounter while traveling the world. If you'd like to join our shenanigans, subscribe to our YouTube channel. You can also poke around our social media to find out what we’re up to each week.
