We've been considering what will be the top travel destination in 2021, and it's not going to be anything other than exciting bucketlist experiences like trekking with Gorillas in Uganda. This travel video will show you one of the best experiences you can possibly book in the travel industry.
Here's the BLUF on this travel adventure:
You can do a gorilla trek in either Rwanda or Uganda. Rwanda recently doubled their prices, so most people are now using Uganda, and we've talked to the guides and they say it's more authentic anyway.
Now, don't be blown away by this, but it's expensive. We had to pay $1200 for this experience (all inclusive). You can rest easy knowing that MOST of that money is just for the permit, which goes to protecting these beautiful animals, giving them medical treatment and guarding them from poachers.
Even then, we thought the price was definitely worth it, to see a silverback gorilla, a baby gorilla, several blackback gorillas, and females intermixed.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is super awesome to walk through on it's own, much less to see gorillas. If for some reason you do not see any gorillas, they will refund half of your money for the attempt, so it's a gamble you just have to take.
