We're an American couple who sold everything to start traveling in Mexico. Today, we're sharing what's changed since we started this adventure.

We left the US despite having almost no support or encouragement from our families. (They continued to tell us that Mexico is dangerous and we would end up killed if we went.....but we went anyway.) We left our careers with steady paychecks; we left without knowing how our future would look. Would we love it in Mexico? Hate it? Regret the decision forever? Have the time of our lives? It was all a mystery then.
As soon as we started our journey, we began recording it all and posting the videos about Mexico travel on YouTube. In the beginning, we knew nothing about shooting footage, video editing software, or even the slightest clue about how YouTube worked. We taught ourselves from the ground up. It's been a tough grind since the very beginning to build our channel, TangerineTravels. We've usually been dedicating almost 100% of our waking time to optimizing these videos, improving the channel, and providing quality content for people to learn from and enjoy.
So why can't we believe our eyes? An incredible thing happened yesterday. We hit 1,000 subscribers! It was by April 25th that we originally hoped to have 250 "Tangerineys" following our journey. Reaching this goal by this date surpassed our craziest dreams. And you know what else? We're not stopping there! We plan to continue growing our Mexico travel vlog, TangerineTravels, to help others learn what an amazing place Mexico and it's people are. We hope to see even more of this beautiful country and soak up as much as possible, all the while sharing it with you guys here on YouTube. In fact, we are hoping to be US citizens living in Mexico for a very long time. As of now, we will be spending the next two months in Guadalajara, Mexico and will reassess from there.
