The world’s biggest test portal for ski resorts, named our ski area the Best Ski Resort in the World in 2017, after having conferred this title upon the ski area in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 as well. In addition, World Ski Awards (the Oscars of the skiing industry) chose Kitzbühel as the World’s Best Ski Resort – and KitzSki as the World’s Best Ski Resort Company.
But why does the Kitzbühel | Kirchberg ski area hold such fascination for winter sports? One of the main reasons is most likely the extraordinary beauty of our surroundings. Secondly, we offer 234 kilometres of descends and 41 kilometres of marked ski routes in all degrees of difficulty, as well as action-packed snowboard fun parks, natural toboggan runs and hundreds of kilometres of cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails. The top attraction is probably the legendary Hahnenkamm Races with the world-famous “Streif”. As if all that weren’t enough, we also have the best pistes anywhere from October to the beginning of May, which translates into as many as 180 days of unparalleled skiing pleasure and never-ending excitement.
The Kitzbüheler Horn, Hahnenkamm, Fleckalm and Pass Thurn all feature perfectly groomed pistes, plenty of variety and, of course, cosy and rustic ski huts where you can stop in for refreshments and relaxation. The Kitzbühel | Kirchberg ski area in Tirol boasts 230 kilometres of marked descends for beginners, regular holiday skiers and advanced winter sports enthusiasts.
With our 57 lifts, we are also Austria’s largest cable car company. The cable cars offer the highest levels of comfort, up to and including heated seats. They are pleasant, modern and guaranteed stress-free.
